Allure of the Seas - New Build

Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas is the second of the Oasis Class Ships and, together with her sister ship Oasis of the Seas, she holds the record of the largest cruise ship ever built. Delivered in October 2010 at STX Europe’s Turku, Finland shipyard, the 225,282 ton vessel is an architectural marvel and it sets a new standard for cruising as well as onboard information technologies. During the three months prior to delivery, Waveguide teams built out the data and broadcast centers, installed network distribution switches through-out nearly forty communication lockers, deployed three wireless networks, installed over two thousand cabin switches, three hundred Point of Sale devices, three hundred workstation PCs, and a host of other components and systems.
